EcoBoosted - F150 One Millionth Unit and Counting

One Million! And counting.

When you hear Ford, one of the first things that come to mind is trucks.

Ford knows trucks.

The standard in performance and durability for quarter ton trucks has always been the Ford F-150. First manufactured in 1948, the F-150 has since taken over the market, the best-selling pickup truck since 1977 and the all-around best-selling vehicle since 1981.

Now in its thirteenth generation, the Blue Oval has an EcoBoost V6 workhorse that has now sold over one million trucks. The Ford F-150 is available with no less than four engine options. 3.5-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8, the light-duty truck is available with a frugal 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 and a torquey 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6.

“We are proving that with advanced technologies like EcoBoost and high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy construction, Ford continues to outperform the competition by virtually every metric,” explains Doug Scott, truck group marketing manager at FoMoCo.

The best part of the F-150 EcoBoost, the savings. And according to Ford, that with amount to “more than 110 million gallons of gasoline” over the next year. All the while not abandoning any power, in fact, the 2017 F-150 with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 will be more powerful than previous models!
